Main Tourist Attractions In Golden Gate City

If you’re planning a trip to the Golden Gate City, you won’t be bombarded with tourists attractions as you might be in tourist cities such as Key West or Orlando. There are, however, many wonderful things for tourists to see and do during their visit that will give them a great feeling of what its really like to live in this wonderful city.
One of the most famous attractions is the Golden Gate Park, San Francisco’s city park which includes a large lake, Japanese Tea Gardens, museums, events and concerts just to name a few of the attractions. The Golden Gate Park is actually bigger than New York’s Central Park and has plenty to keep visitors of all ages entertained. Inside the park you will also find the de Young Museum, a famous Bay Area museum that shows work from American, Pacific and African artists. Also in the Golden Gate Park, is the California Academy of Sciences which is another must seem for planetarium, science and history buffs. The museums now even includes an aquarium.
Tourists may also want to make a trip to North Beach, which is an Italian area of the city which features gelato shops, authentic Italian bistros, pizza shops and more. On your way there, take a ride on one of the world famous cable car’s, a true icon of the Golden Gate City. The cars take you around the city and even down to the waterfront where you can experience fisherman’s wharf and the site of the world famous Golden Gate Bridge. The bridge used to be the largest suspension bridge in the world but now is just the most famous. You can walk, drive, or bike across the bridge or just view the structure from one of the city’s many viewing stations. No matter what you end up choosing the do during your visit, the Golden Gate City has plenty to offer their tourists to make them feel right at home.
